The Honey Depot & Coffee House is your Artisan Community Coffee House featuring KY Proud products including Honey, Coffee & Pastries. Raw Honey + Gourmet Coffee sourced globally and roasted locally!

HoneyBear Farms KY, dba The Honey Depot & Coffee House, represents a unique market supplying raw honey and specialty espresso drinks to the Louisville area via our retail coffee shops, farmers markets, and special events throughout the year.

Most of our honey is produced locally in Kentucky -- This is important because so much honey is shipped across state lines and even from foreign countries. Our niche is selling local, natural, raw honey and raising bees acclimated to our unique climate.

Beekeeping is in our DNA! From humble beginning with just two beehives, we expanded to over 400 hives within three years. Currently we maintain over 1,400 via our partnership with other beekeepers primarily here in KY with annual production ~ 60,000 lbs. Beekeeping education is part of our core mission and we offer beekeeping classes all year, plus host the Louisville Bee School.

Sourcing local gourmet coffee fit well with our existing agricultural-based business. The two concepts - selling honey and selling coffee - merged into one with the introduction of the Honey Depot & Coffee House!

We are a community-based, family-oriented small business. Due to supply chain difficulties associated with COVID, we no longer provide beekeeping supplies and equipment at the Honey Depot. Our beekeeping seminars and Schools will continue in 2023.
